HP 17A vs HP 19A: Understanding Your Printer's Components
The HP M102 and M130 series printers use a two-part toner system:

How to Install HP 17A Toner Cartridges
- Open the top cover of your HP LaserJet Pro printer
- Remove the existing toner cartridge from the drum unit slot
- Take the new 17A cartridge from its packaging and shake it gently 5?C6 times side to side to evenly distribute the toner
- Remove the protective pull tab completely
- Slide the new cartridge firmly into the drum unit slot until it clicks into place
- Close the printer cover and print a test page to confirm correct installation
If print density appears light: Remove the cartridge, gently rock it side to side to redistribute toner, reinstall and test again.
