Why Buy a 4-Pack?
Buying four cartridges at once means you replace toner less frequently, always have a spare on hand, and pay a lower effective per-cartridge cost. For home offices and small businesses that print regularly, the 4-pack is the most economical choice.
About the Drum Unit
The TN760 is a toner cartridge only — it does not include a drum unit. Brother laser printers use separate toner cartridges and drum units (DR730). When you replace the toner, keep your existing drum unit in place. Typically, you'll replace the drum unit after every 3–4 toner cartridges.
How to Install Brother TN760 Toner Cartridge
- Open the front cover of your Brother laser printer
- Pull the toner cartridge and drum unit assembly straight out
- Press the green lock lever and slide the old toner cartridge out of the drum unit
- Remove the new TN760 cartridge from packaging and shake it gently 5–6 times side to side to evenly distribute the toner
- Remove the orange protective seal completely
- Slide the new cartridge firmly into the drum unit until it clicks
- Reinsert the drum and toner assembly back into the printer
- Close the front cover
- If a "non-Brother toner" or toner level alert appears, press OK to continue
Do not touch the drum roller. Fingerprints on the drum can cause print defects.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this pack include four cartridges? Yes. This listing contains four TN760 compatible black toner cartridges, each individually packaged.
Is the TN760 compatible with printers that use TN730? Yes. The TN760 fits the same printers as the TN730 and simply holds more toner. Using TN760 in a TN730 printer gives you more pages per cartridge at a lower cost per page.
Does this include the drum unit (DR730)? No. The TN760 is a toner cartridge only. Your existing DR730 drum unit stays in the printer.
My printer shows a toner warning after installation. Is that normal? Yes. Brother printers display alerts when compatible cartridges are installed. Press OK to continue — the cartridge is full and will perform normally.
Will using compatible cartridges void my Brother printer warranty? No. Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, Brother cannot void your printer warranty solely because you used a compatible toner cartridge.
How long can I store unused cartridges? Store sealed cartridges in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. For best results, install within 24 months of purchase.
